Learn more about the benefits for laser dentistry in saving time (soft tissue management), enhancing dental care (advanced healing, increased visibility, bacterial decontamination, reduction in aerosol) as well as the latest innovations in dental laser technology in support of enhanced patient care, improved operational efficiency and profitable practice growth
Clinical indications presented include but are not limited to; virtually bloodless soft tissue procedures (gingivectomy, frenectomy, biopsy), aphthous ulcers, de-epithelialization, periodontal therapy and surgery, endodontic applications, and lasers for use in implantology including the treatment of periimplantitis. Finally the programs present the role lasers can play in treating patients with sleep disorder breathing, including innovative office-based minimally invasive treatments for the relief of snoring..
Keynote Address - Non-Invasive Snoring Treatments
Tens of millions of patients suffer from the side effects of snoring. Learn about the role of lasers for the treatment of snoring including case selection, limitations and co-therapies. Understand the essential role dentists can play in the treatment of snoring and associated conditions including restless sleep, anxiety and depression. This segment will cover diagnosis, case selection, practice integration and technology including the minimally invasive laser treatment protocol and the value of imaging and photography associated with diagnosis and treatment. Learn the capabilities and unique benefits of fractional C02 laser therapy for improving quality of sleep, mental focus and overall well-being and understand the fractional C02 laser’s role in snoring treatments, lowering AHI and working with co-therapies such as CPAP & appliances and experience live demonstrations of the laser in action..
The hands-on segment of the program will give participants an opportunity to experience the functionality of lasers performing surgical procedures on in-vitro models. Live demonstration and video guiding the clinical simulation will incorporate the relevance of settings and technique for optimized clinical outcomes. This interactive experience will also facilitate an open dialogue between participants and one on one with the instructor, comprising clinical & practical considerations for the successful implementation of dental laser technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to perform various clinical procedures, including;
-
Different Techniques; for incision/excision, coagulation, disinfection & healing
-
Operative Dentistry Including; tissue troughing, fibroma/biopsy, gingivectomy, frenectomy, vestibuloplasty, aphthous ulcers, periodontal therapy, surgical flap procedures, de-epithelialization & more!
-
Laser safety considerations, settings, care, sterilization protocols & system maintenance.
